About Us
Provider Solutions is an independent consulting firm providing expertise in operational and financial services with an emphasis on small to mid-sized healthcare organizations. Clients include practices from solo to large multispecialty groups, primary care practices, physician specialists, mental health providers and programs and emerging technologies.
Provider Solutions takes a comprehensive approach, getting to know our clients’ unique needs and identifying opportunities for improvement. Our team works closely with clients to overcome complex business challenges, applying a foundational methodology to ensure we are all working from a common understanding and our clients see value quickly.

Laurie Bouzarelos, MHA CPC FACHE
FOUNDER
Laurie Bouzarelos, MHA, CPC, FACHE is the founder of Provider Solutions, a health care consulting business offering expertise, leadership, and data-driven strategies to improve the viability of physician-owned private practices. Laurie's client work focuses on improving payer contracts, identifying revenue cycle shortfalls, and implementing workflow and software solutions to maximize revenue for small and mid-market health care businesses. Laurie has over 25 years of diverse experience including managed care contracting in both the physician practice and hospital settings, planning and business development, revenue cycle optimization, chart review and physician coding education.
Laurie understands the unique business needs of independent practices and has a history of successful engagements founded on helping business owners negotiate their payer contracts, leading high return revenue cycle management projects and providing education for physician business owners and their revenue cycle staff.
Laurie earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University and a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from Cornell University. She is a Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE) and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. In 2016, Laurie earned the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential through AAPC. In 2023 Laurie earned her Fellow credential (FACHE) with the American College of healthcare Executives
Steve Fromme
Steve’s work allows the Provider Solutions team to analyze contracts and fee schedules providing valuable detail in an understandable client-facing resource. His background in accounting, education, coaching, and teaching business and personal finance coalesces into a unique ability to create decision tools illustrating complex charge and reimbursement scenarios. Steve’s foundation in accounting brings an attention to detail, analytical expertise, and persistent questioning, drilling down on “how does this help our client?” to all aspects of his work.
Steve received his BS in Accounting at Chapman University and Masters in Movement and Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Pedagogy from University of Northern Colorado.
Shannon Lord
Shannon brings a depth of experience in project management helping to define, scope, and deliver client work. Her consulting career has focused on business process analysis projects, revenue cycle systems implementations, systems end user training programs, and organizational change management initiatives. She started her career at Accenture working on projects supporting both payers and providers and later at Oracle, responsible for building relationships with consulting partners and providing training and certification programs.
Shannon earned a BS in Business Administration from Boston University and her MBA from the University of San Francisco.
George Bouzarelos
George’s contributions at Provider Solutions began during a summer internship, where he tackled a myriad of IT projects for Provider Solutions, designing and implementing an HIPAA compliant intranet and data storage protocols for remote workers. The intern role expanded to managing the business aspects of a small business consulting group including becoming “the help desk,” timekeeping, bookkeeping, invoicing, IT hardware and software.
After graduation, George joined our team as an IT and Financial Analyst doing work to support the success of Provider Solutions and adding client facing projects and financial modeling. George’s background in the study of human geography brings a unique perspective to his work. Without losing the big picture, George drills down quickly on the information that is most important. His skills in Excel are an asset to us all!
George earned his Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a Minor in Geospatial Information Science and Technology at the University of California, Berkeley. He is looking forward to graduate school in the coming years.
Nick Fromme
Nick joined our team as a part-time Financial Analyst and hit the ground running. With foundational knowledge in business and exceptional Excel skills, Nick makes short work of navigating complex fee schedules. His Excel skills support client consulting engagements, building reimbursement models for our clients. Nick’s perspectives from other industries challenge each of us to think about our problems in new ways.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He is employed full-time in the heavy equipment and auction industry.
Lena McClelland
Lena joined the team as a part-time Contract Analyst in March of 2024. With a decade of experience practicing law, Lena leverages her strong skills in reviewing and analyzing contract language to provide insight and support to our clients navigating the intricate world of healthcare payer contracting. Her legal expertise supports Provider Solutions' mission of providing comprehensive expertise in our engagements and supporting practitioners' understanding of their obligations under their payer agreements.
Lena earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Gonzaga University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon, School of Law. She is employed full-time in the municipal and local government field.
Lindsey Koenig
Lindsey started her career as an RN in direct patient care. This foundational work experience led to leadership and management opportunities in both private practice administration and hospital operations, Lindsey’s skill set and education adds a new dimension to our team’s capabilities. Lindsey joined Provider Solutions in 2024, part-time, to support projects, including revenue cycle optimization, data analysis and reporting, and quality performance improvements related to value-based contracting.
Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Portland and her master’s in healthcare administration from the Colorado State University system. She is employed full-time as a Behavioral Health Clinical and Program Manager.
Lauren Anderson
Lauren jointed our team as a summer intern in 2024 to develop her professional skills and gain hands-on experience in data science and bioinformatics. She has been gaining experience in Python and R programming languages as well as data analysis through her college education. As a rising senior, she has had extensive involvement in biology and chemistry labs and is excited to learn more about the computation aspects of data science and bioinformatics
Lauren is currently working towards her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a Minor in Bioinformatics at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Subject Matter Experts
Geoff Jackman, MD CPC
Dr. Jackman’s academic career reflects his passion for education. In his work with the Provider Solutions team, Dr. Jackman brings a vast array of experience as a Trauma Level 1 pediatric emergency physician, urgent care provider and educator to inform the work we do to support physicians’ practice. In 2019, Dr. Jackman earned the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential to support his special interest in improving care bundles, electronic health record protocols, and a passion for educating physicians on their role in medical coding. Most recently, his work includes researching physician coding practices, variance in coding common conditions and the impacts of variability on medical practice. Dr. Jackman has been instrumental in the education of all levels of medical providers in the emergency department setting, the classroom as well as a speaker at regional and national meetings.
Geoff earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and History at Indiana University, then earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Jackman’s medical career has taken him through multiple states providing insight into different medical organizations and exposure to a variety of electronic health record systems.
Alison Harrison
Alison leverages her analytical skills to assess client data accuracy during electronic data interchange (EDI) audits of provider records. She identifies and corrects errors that impact accurate claims payment. Alison’s expertise in curriculum development and learning assessment bring a depth of knowledge as she guides our team, teaching us how to break down complex topics into manageable pieces for all types of learners. She collaborates on the development and writing of reference guides and policy and procedures for revenue cycle staff.
Alison received her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and German Education at the University of Northern Colorado and completed her Masters Program in Education at the University of Phoenix.
